About Me

About me

Hi, I’m Gilda Fontana, born in 1983. I am a Destination Wedding Videographer in love with my job.

I have always been passionate about visual arts: over the years I have matured the awareness of what “my place in the world” was, managing to understand how to put that passion to good use, that momentum that animates me and makes me feel alive: my free spirit and creative.

I have been married for ten years and I have two small children who have taught me so much in recent years, giving me unique emotions.

I love reading, cinema, and I love traveling. The journey represents for me that engine that animates me, that feeds me with positive energy and offers me a new look towards the world, the search for amazement and wonder. I love to paint and draw as well as write. I love social relationships and being outdoors.

My studies

Ihave a degree in Communication Sciences and Literature and, in 2012, I also obtained a PhD in Anthropology and Historical-Linguistic Studies.

My training path was long and tortuous but it forged me into what I am today.

My love for literature and poetry in particular are elements that I use in my videographic stories.

Literature and poetry are tools that strengthen and emotionally nourish my visual content.

This knowledge is now part of me and allows me to express myself more authentically.

My Work Experiences

The path that led me to the profession of Destination Wedding Videographer was born in 2005 from an opportunity. A coincidence that put me in contact with this dimension which then became my personal “window on the world”.

I worked for about 6 years in a photo studio where I was mainly involved in video editing.

In 2013, a collaboration began within another photographic studio: I started making video footage as well as montages.

All these years of apprenticeship have allowed me to fully understand the mechanisms of this work and its difficulties.

Finally in 2019 I opened my videographic studio, a choice born of an increasingly pressing need in me: to have my own identity, my own style, my own brand.

Constant training

One of the key moments of this path was a Workshop that I personally organized in 2019 and which allowed me to meet two professionals of international standing such as Fabio Stanzione and Alessio Martinelli.

That was an experience that represented a transition for me, a qualitative leap.

Over the years I have always tried to deepen my skills, to study to improve myself, taking as a model the most successful professionals from all over the world and not settling for a mediocrity for which I did not feel exactly cut out.

Confrontation is essential for constant growth, for a dynamic path that always changes, which is why I aspire to ever higher quality standards.

Mine, however, is not just a technical work but also (and perhaps above all) of contents, which like pieces of a puzzle I compose to tell a glimpse of reality, my personal point of view on things, on people and their emotions.

Awards and Acknowledgments
